2009 sees the 5th edition of the "Grande Odyssee". It will take place this year from January 11th to 21st, 2009. For the first time, Onelelemts-Kennel will present two teams during the race.
 
Each year it brings together 25 of the best mushers in the world: Along with their Alaskan and Siberian huskies, they cover more than 800 km and climb more than 25,000 m through the massifs of the Franco-Swiss region of Portes du Soleil.

With the legendary Iditarod and Yukon Quest, La Grande Odyssée has established itself as the only major sled-dog race in europe to be both a long distance race and a stage race.

Emil's second place last year ranks his team among the favorites this year. The second team consists of "Yearlings" led to maturity for races by Barbara and participates for the first time at a big race. Good Luck!
